By the way, the word 'revival' is not in my Bible (kjv) and the word 'revived' is found twice in the New Testament but it's not talking about souls being saved.

This past September, the secretive mercenary company Blackwater USA found its name splashed across front pages throughout the world after the company's shooters gunned down seventeen Iraqi civilians in Baghdad's Nisour Square. But by early 2008, Blackwater had largely receded from the headlines save for the occasional blip on the media radar sparked by Congressman Henry Waxman's ongoing investigations into its activities. "Touch Not the Unclean Thing" and I "Will Be a Father Unto You"


How appropriate that the Lord had me read the following passage which talks about Him being a Father to me IF I come out from idolatry, be separate and touch not the unclean thing.

In the Old Testament, there are numerous 'unclean things' listed. However, in the New Testament Paul writes in Romans 14, "I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean."

So I believe today the 'unclean thing' is spiritual idolatry and adultery, pleasing the flesh rather than obeying God, following after things rather than after the Creator, loving money which is the root of all evil, serving self rather than dying to self, being prideful rather than broken and humble.

Just my thoughts...

To Judge or Not to Judge?


Yesterday, received a comment from Donato saying it was wrong for me to judge Todd Bentley. Below is his comment, my reply and his next comment. In the meantime, I emailed Bud Press from Christian Research Service to get his take on all this and I believe Bud's answer (below) will help us all - thanks Bud!

Hello Donato,

The Lord Jesus Christ says in Matthew 7:15,16, "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits."

I am questioning the fruits I see in Lakeland.

In John 7:24, the Lord tells us to "Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment" and in Matthew 24:24, he says "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

We are to renounce the hidden things of dishonesty and to let no man deceive us. We have no one to blame but ourselves if we get deceived.

My desire and prayer is that the Lord Jesus Christ be glorified as He leads us unto the Truth and expose any lie we are believing.

dear sister, Thank you for replying me,I accept your point of view, I have no doubts it's good to go quietly and to check and try every spirit, personally I didn't have a bad impression of Todd, he's an imperfect christian like all of us.. Maybe that God told to be aware of false prophet but did he told you to consider Todd as a false prophet? And did He told you to open a blog against Him? Personally I'm asking God to open my mind to His Truth, if this man is a false prophet..

Unfortunately, Donato's letter to you is a typical carbon-copy reply from one who is unable to distinguish the real Jesus from the false. Sadly, this is widespread (as you know), and is growing on a daily basis.

The truth is that Donato is doing the same thing to you as he/she is accusing you of (i.e., judging).

As you read and study the articles, please know that God calls every Christian to make righteous judgments (John 7:24). And, in the context of Matthew chapter 7, Jesus calls us to judge, but not hypocritically. How else would we distinguish the false from the true?

Romans chapter 14, when read in context, talks about judging fairly and unfairly, and uses an example of what a Christian eats. In other words, if one Christian wants to eat meat, that's fine. But if another wants to eat only vegetables, that's fine too (Cross-reference with Colossians 2:16, which says, Therefore no one is to act as your judge in regard to food or drink or in respect to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath day).

Donato took Romans 14:10 out of context, which is par-for-the-course with those who fail to study their Bibles.

Your response to Donato was great, so be sure to keep this situation in prayer, for only God can open the eyes of those being deceived.

Not far from the Dead Dog Saloon, behind a body shop on the main street of Grantsville, Utah, stands a rusting, four-foot-tall metal box. The box sits atop a tank of gaseous silver iodide that, when fired up, sends a plume downwind toward the nearby Oquirrh Mountains. Once carried up on the wind, each silver iodide crystal forms a core, or nucleus, around which water droplets collect. Since silver iodide has a crystalline structure similar to that of ice, it allows the tiny water droplets to coalesce until they are big and heavy enough to fall out of the sky, ultimately increasing snowfall between 10 and 15 percent a year. That’s more water for later release across the state’s thirsty desert during spring and baking summer, more water for irrigation, livestock, human consumption, and sports. It means millions of dollars in water-related revenues for the state’s economy every year.

The Utah cloud-seeding effort comes courtesy of North American Weather Consultants, America’s oldest weather modification company, located in an upscale office park in nearby Sandy, Utah. Founded in the 1950s, the group is currently run by two solid-citizen scientists with commercial aims, Don Griffith and Mark Solak, who have spent their careers working in privately funded weather modification efforts around the country and the world.

In Colorado they seeded the Gunnison River drainage, a series of reservoirs and dams in the west of the state. In California they run seeding programs for the Santa Barbara County Water Agency, a group that says the effort may increase rain in target areas up to 20 percent a year.

6/12/08 UPDATE

Hello all,
According to this video, Todd Bentley received a prophetic word from Wendy Alec (co-owner of God TV) that Jesus would make a personal appearance on stage at the Lakeland 'revival' on June 8, 2008. Todd then goes on to say that he won't really be there in person, but in spirit.

So what happened the next night?

I just read this comment about it here:
"Did you see the service last night? Absolutely no mention of the big appearance that was supposed to take place. Ron DeLuca took over after worship. Todd was on the platform, but never actually spoke."

Read this comment: "Todd Bentley is a false prophet, serving a false god, under a false anointing, leading many false converts into a false revival."

Indeed!

Also, a week or so ago I got an email from a German friend who asked me if I still lived in Florida because she was coming to Lakeland. I told her my great concerns, gave her the link to my post on Bentley and recommended she not go. Then yesterday she emailed again saying:

Dear Cathy,

thank you for your email and your "blog".

I went to Florida, found shelter with a wonderful family and tried Todd for 3 days. Since I didn't hear anything "strange" DURING THAT time I "jumped" in and had a good time with all the people from all over the world and my guest family. The girl I stayed with in my room had an angel visitation one night and another night heard angels singing. I was careful....

Anyway, when I came home my pastor said something about Lakeland and that sobered me up. He said don`t look at your feelings, don`t look at the things happening, but look at the bible, is it scriptual? I heard Todd personally say that he is ministering in the spirit of Branham, that to me gave a red light, plus all his experiences and angels. With Bob Jones I had a strange feeling when I saw him for the first time long time ago in God TV.

I felt secure even after your mail, because I respect Wendy and Rory Alec from GOD/TV. That they show something without doing a research on the matter, seemed impossible to me. What do you think?

I got other emails warning me.
Anyway, I separated myself from that movement. But I am sad, sad for all the people, the desperate, those getting born again there....But of course if it is from God....??????

Anyway, I see, that I need to read and study the word more and to obey the Holy Spirit.

Kol.2: 8-18 is something I want to meditate about....
