"I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war." Psalm 120:7
This morning, I received an email asking for prayer from the wife of a soldier in Iraq who was being sent on a dangerous mission in Bagdad. The commanders told the men that most would probably not come back to their base.

I hate war.

It breaks my heart to hear about all the innocent lives that are dying - both us and "them".

I work at a moving company in a navy town, so I talk to young military folks all the time - just thinking about it now brings me to tears; I don't like what we as a nation are doing and I pray we/America stop our part.

Sadly, war makes lots of profit for the rich and powerful, so it won't stop anytime soon. Did you know that American companies (i.e. IBM, Standard Oil, General Motors, Chase Bank, etc - read
article) made profits from Hitler's Germany? In the big picture, our nation isn't as innocent as we are told.

Anyway...

Dear Lord Jesus, my heart breaks thinking about how many lives we are loosing and how many families are hurting. My only hope is that in the process they may find You as their Saviour and Redeemer. We pray for an end to this crazy war and supernatural safety for David and all our military. May each one have a divine encounter with You, Lord Jesus and may they repent, turning their lives over to You, receiving eternal life. Thank You for Your comfort and healing and for the blood that you shed on the cross for our sins. Thank you for the resurrection! Bless the families and help them to know the Truth and find true Freedom in the Son of God TODAY we pray. Amen.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil:
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.

"And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet." (Jesus in Matthew 24)

"But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you." (Jesus in Luke 6)

Psalm 46
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

2 Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;

3 Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof. Selah.

4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.

5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early.

6 The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.

7 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.

8 Come, behold the works of the LORD, what desolations he hath made in the earth.

9 He maketh wars to cease unto the end of the earth; he breaketh the bow, and cutteth the spear in sunder; he burneth the chariot in the fire.

10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.

11 The LORD of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah.
