Thanksgiving 2023 ~ In EVERY THING Give Thanks ~

We are VERY blessed and daily need to thank the LORD for each and every thing. Why? Because this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning us as Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:18.

God's perfect will is being accomplished all around us, often in ways we do not see nor understand. 

Did the disciples understand the shocking events when their Lord Jesus was arrested, tortured and nailed to a cross dying a very paihful death?

No,

Nor do we understand when we see or read about the horrible events in our world today.

Yet, like the ressurection of Christ from the grave on the third day, we too will see deliverence and freedom at some point because we have put our faith and trust in Jesis Christ Who is our Savior, Redeemer, Creator, King, Lord and God.

This is the GOOD NEWS and so we can give thanks in EVERY THING as we share the truth, pray for the lost and love God while loving one another.

My Story (2008)

 

Since posting in 2008, the Lord Jesus Christ has faithfully carried me through many events, the hardest being the tragic loss of my 37 year old son, John Palmer Emmett in 2016. 

In 2018, the LORD helped me buy a house in Panama City Florida where 3 months later we survived Hurricane Michael with minimal damage. 

Now in 2023, I am retired and thankful to God for each day, enjoying family, friends, bike riding, photography, genealogy and so much more!

Jesus Christ is God

 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The same was in the beginning with God.

All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.

In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.

The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.

That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.

He came unto his own, and his own received him not.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
