"Trust completely in God, and when He brings you to a new opportunity of adventure, offering it to you, see that you take it." - Oswald Chambers in My Utmost For His Highest
For over 3 years the LORD has faithfully been with me and given me great grace to be here in exciting Berlin, Germany. I have loved it all and I have made many wonderful, lifelong friendships. Now he is taking me onto the next adventure! "Where and what?", you may ask. Only the LORD knows! The current plan is to fly back to America on June 23 and initially stay with my daughter and her family in Pensacola, Florida. Then... we shall see. This is what makes the adventure so fun - not knowing what is next but trusting God! So I stay focused on Jesus saying, "YES, LORD" every step of the way. Remember, fear waits but faith jumps and so like a child who trusts her daddy, I reach out to my heavenly Papa, and say "Here I am, LORD, send me!"

Thank You, Jesus, that by Your wounds we are healed. Thank You Lord, that You sent Your Word and healed our diseases. Thank You Father, that You can not lie and Your Word is true. Thank You, Abba, that You love us VERY much and with You, ALL things are possible! Thank You, Jesus, that You said, "Don't be afraid. Just trust me." Thank You, Holy Spirit, that You comfort, strengthen, and guide us each step of every day. Thank You God that ANYTHING is possible IF a person believes. WE CHOOSE TO BELIEVE THE TRUTH and WE KICK OUT THE LIES! What is Your will today? How can we bless You, Lord? May our lives reflect Your love wherever You take us. May Your peace flood our hearts. May praise and thanksgiving always be on our lips. May the message of forgiveness through Your Son, the resurrected Savior, be freely proclaimed and may those with ears to hear receive freedom today! May we each walk humbly in love,…
"Do not throw your pearls before hogs, lest they trample upon them with their feet and turn and tear you in pieces." - Jesus in Matthew 7
Pearls are gemstones formed inside certain shellfish when a bit of foreign matter enters and the mollusk isolates the irritant by gradually coating it with layer after layer of nacre (mother of pearl). This long process makes the foreign object less dangerous to the mollusk's soft tissues. The end result is a beautiful pearl! What should we do when irritations come into our life? Proverbs 15:1 says, "A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger." May the irritations of life produce in us beautiful pearls!

"Werft auch nicht eure Perlen vor die Schweine, damit sie diese nicht etwa mit ihren Füßen zertreten und sich umwenden und euch zerreißen!" - Jesus in Matthäus 7
Perlen sind Edelsteine, die in bestimmten Muscheln geformt werden, wenn kleine Fremdkörper eindringen und das Weichti…
Mad Magazine's Alfred "What me worry?" E. Newman & Spy vs Spy
As a young teen way back in the early 60's, one of my favorite pastimes was reading "Mad Magazine". Their funny "Spy vs. Spy" reminds me of life today as I read all the different conspiracy articles which may or may not be true (we should all investigate for ourselves before dismissing what these people are saying). But my prayer is that the truth be revealed and the lies be exposed. Jesus spoke much about the end of the world and His return. When his disciples asked him in Matthew 24, "Will there be any sign ahead of time to signal your return and the end of the world?", he warned them to be ready all the time for the Son of Man will come when least expected. This is good advice for us today - are you ready?

HE IS THE POTTER- poem I wrote today:
"He is the Potter and I am clay.
He lights my path and guides my way.
He loves me and leads me all the day long.
To JESUS my Savior I sing a new song.

"Hallelujah, my Lord! Hallelujah, my King.
I give you my life; I give you everything.
Thank You my Father for sending Your Son.
Come Spirit of God and make us now one.

"It is true that Jesus will come back one day.
Are you ready my friend? What do you say?
Your Father in heaven loves you so much.
Simply ask Him now for His healing touch.

"Jesus is the Truth, the Life and the Way.
He died for our sin and then rose the third day.
On the cross He was nailed to set us all free.
Now Jesus is alive and He gives us Victory!"

BIG CHANGES! It looks like the Potter is sending clay back home to America next month. I will be moving from Berlin to Pensacola, Florida. Yes, I don't know what the future holds... BUT, I do know Who holds the future, so I can rest in Him and continue to enjoy the journey …
1) composite showing the size of a Boeing 757 that was supposed to have hit the Pentagon; 2 & 3) collapsing WTC-7 building (47 floors) which was NOT hit by any plane but only fire on a couple of floors (click photos to enlarge)
The more you investigate, the more questions arise regarding 911. Was this tragic event an inside job? Why? Was it to create panic and pass laws leading to a police state? What really happened?? Check out this brief flash presentation: May the lies be exposed and the truth come forth, in Jesus name!

"Don't worry about everyday life--whether you have enough food, drink, and clothes." - Jesus in Matthew 6
Jesus tells us not to worry about what we will eat or wear because our heavenly Father already knows all our needs and he will give us all we need from day to day if we live for him and make the Kingdom of God our primary concern. Oswald Chambers says, "Don’t take the pressure of your provision upon yourself. It is not only wrong to worry, it is unbelief. Worrying means we do not believe that God can look after the practical details of our lives." May we trust in the LORD with all our heart each day!

"Sorgt euch nicht um euer tägliches Leben - darum, ob ihr genug zu essen, zu trinken und anzuziehen habt." - Jesus in Matthäus 6
Jesus sagt uns, daß wir uns keine Sorgen machen sollen darüber, was wir essen oder anziehen werden, weil unser himmlischer Vater schon alle unsere Bedürfnisse kennt und uns alles…
FIX YOUR THOUGHTS ON WHAT IS TRUE!(Paul writes to the Philippians)
1:6 "I am sure that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on that day when Christ Jesus comes back again."
2:13-15 "For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them."
3:8-11 "Yes, everything else is worthless when compared with the priceless gain of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord. I have discarded everything else, counting it all as garbage, so that I may have Christ and become one with him. I no longer count on my own goodness or my ability to obey God's law, but I trust Christ to save me. For God's way of making us right wi…
ENJOYING GOD by SJ Hill (his website)
While at Bible school in Pensacola, SJ was one of my instructors and this morning I wrote him the following email:
Hey Steve and Pam,
Just wanted to tell you about a young German friend of ours here in Berlin - her name is Joanna. She is very hungry for the things of God and recently she borrowed your book "Enjoying God" and eagerly devoured every word! She so totally enjoyed it that she told us yesterday she rode her bike all over Berlin to find an inexpensive copy shop and yes, she copied EVERY page of your book! When I mentioned that we had tried to get the book printed in German but without success, she said, "Oh I like it in English because it helps me better learn the language!!" So when did you say you coming to Berlin?? Enquiring minds want to know! We are praying for the Lord to bring both you and Jason Upton here - Berlin and all of Europe for that matter DESPERATELY needs the message of the Father's heart. Germany h…
My daugher Linda in Pensacola, Florida, doing what she loves best!
In Matthew 4, we read, "One day as Jesus was walking along the shore beside the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers--Simon, also called Peter, and Andrew--fishing with a net, for they were commercial fishermen. Jesus called out to them, 'Come, be my disciples, and I will show you how to fish for people!' And they left their nets at once and went with him. A little farther up the shore he saw two other brothers, James and John, sitting in a boat with their father, Zebedee, mending their nets. And he called them to come, too. They immediately followed him, leaving the boat and their father behind." When you are excited about something, you like to talk about it and so I enjoy tellings others about Jesus! Today, Sarah, Jacqui, and I met outside the local ice cream shop and talked to several people the Gospel. We planted lots of seeds and will be back next week to "fish" again! LORD J…

Sing a Little Louder

December 7, 2008 UPDATE

Having an abortion almost doubles a woman's risk of giving birth dangerously early in a later pregnancy, according to new research. This triggered in my mind the following true story:
After a speech, Pro-Life activist Penny Lea was approached by an old man. Weeping, he told her the following story: "I lived in Germany during the Nazi holocaust. I considered myself a Christian. I attended church since I was a small boy. We had heard the stories of what was happening to the Jews, but like most people today in this country, we tried to distance ourselves from the reality of what was really taking place. What could anyone do to stop it? A railroad track ran behind our small church, and each Sunday morning we would hear the whistle from a distance and then the clacking of the wheels moving over the track. We became disturbed when one Sunday we noticed cries comin…
The Last Supper painted by Jacopo Bassano
In the Bible we read that Stephen was stoned to death and James was killed with a sword, but what about the others? Here's what early church writers and tradition tell us:
Matthew speared and beheaded in Ethiopia.
Mark in Alexandria, Egypt, died after being dragged by horses through the streets.
Luke was hanged in Greece as a result of his preaching to the lost.
John was boiled in a huge basin of boiling oil in Rome and miraculously lived, so he was exiled to the mines on the prison island of Patmos.
Peter was crucified upside down on an x-shaped cross because he told his tormentors that he felt unworthy to die in the same way that Jesus Christ had died.
James, the brother of Jesus, was thrown over a hundred feet down from the pinnacle of the Temple when he refused to deny his faith in Christ. He survived the fall so his enemies beat him to death with a club.
James, the brother of John, was beheaded at Jerusalem. The Roman officer…
"O Father, I bless you that you have counted me worthy to receive my portion among the number of martyrs. Amen." - Polycarp, 155 A.D.
Born around 69 A.D., Polycarp was a disciple of the apostle John and later became the leader of the church in Smyrna. Three days before he was persecuted, Polycarp had a dream of his pillow catching fire and being consumed. He then knew that he should be burnt alive for Christ's sake. He was taken to the crowd-filled Stadium of cheering people and brought before the Roman governor who urged him to deny Jesus Christ. Polycarp said, "Eighty-six years I have served him and he never once wronged me. How then shall I blaspheme my King Who has saved me?" When the governor said he would torture him with fire unless he denied Christ, Polycarp replied, "You threaten me with fire which burns for an hour and is soon extinguished. But you are ignorant of the fire of the future judgment and eternal punishment reserved for the ungo…
On May 7, 1997, Pope John Paul II urged all Christians to accept Mary as their mother and said, "The history of Christian piety teaches that Mary is the path the leads to Christ, and that filial devotion to her does not at all diminish intimacy with Jesus, but rather, it increases it and leads it to very high levels of perfection."
Years ago as a new believer, when I read “Foxes Book of Martyrs” by John Foxe, I was shocked to discover how believers in Jesus Christ were burned at the stake because they did not bow down to the Roman Catholic pope. Today, I am again shocked but this time because there are some evangelical Christians who are embracing the Pope and the unbiblical Roman Catholic teachings. Many, including the Dalai Lama who spoke last year in Berlin at a Catholic/Protestant meeting, are encouraging the ecumenical movement. Could this be the apostasy that Paul wrote about: “Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except th…
Today is the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Germany and Israel
King David wrote Psalm 34 in reference to the time he pretended to be insane in front of Abimelech. David was a man after God's own heart, but being human, he like us, struggled at times. Today while reading this psalm, verses 8-10 blessed me: "Taste and see that the LORD is good. Oh, the joys of those who trust in him! Let the LORD's people show him reverence, for those who honor him will have all they need. Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the LORD will never lack any good thing." Those who trust in the Lord will never lack any good thing - what a wonderful promise! Over the years, Jesus has provided for me in big and little ways, so I am very thankful. I am also thankful for Israel. Many years ago as a new believer in Jesus Christ, the Lord put a big love in my heart for Israel and for the Jews. My first trip overseas from the…
Berlin's new Holocaust memorial opens to the public tomorrow
SILENT NO MORE (my pro-Israel and pro-life website)
During yesterday's ceremony, holocaust survivor Sabina van der Linden spoke of her loss, terror and survival in Nazi-occupied Poland. She was an 11-year-old Jewish girl when the German armed forces occupied her town in July 1941 and she was sheltered at great risk by a Christian family. She survived by hiding in a forest only to discover that her parents and brother died in the Holocaust. This new memorial forces us remember the tragedy of the holocaust - may we always speak out against all anti-semitism. In Esther 4, Mordecai, a Jew, told his niece Esther, "Do not imagine that you in the king's palace can escape any more than all the Jews. For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place and you and your father's house will perish. And who knows whether you have not attained royalty for such a time …
Today, I wrote an email about speaking in tongues and am posting it here:
I agree that we, the church, need to read and follow the Word of God rather than go by feelings - we walk by faith. That being said, I also believe the Bible teaches that speaking in tongues is one of the gifts of the Spirit available today. Jesus said in Mark 16:15-18, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation. He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned. These signs will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover." And in Acts 10:44-48, it says: While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. All the circumcised believers who came with Peter w…
The first of four rainbows I saw in the last 2 days!
It was quite the adventure riding on a bus with 50 German hippie youths from Amsterdam back to Berlin for 12 hours while listening to their American music from 30 years ago - hahahahaaa! On the journey I got to share Jesus with Daisy who lives in Leipzig. And yesterday we had a fun visit with FIRE missionary friends, Frank & Bobby and their sweet baby, Raphaela, who drove up from Rotterdam to see us. During our visit, we saw the above rainbow and then today I saw three more rainbows! The LORD told Noah in Genesis 9, "I have placed my rainbow in the clouds. It is the sign of my permanent promise to you and to all the earth." THANK YOU, HEAVENLY FATHER, FOR YOUR PROMISES WHICH ARE YES AND AMEN!

(L-R) Sasja, Cathy, Freerk, and Dan dude
We are staying in Amsterdam with our wonderful Dutch friends, Sasja and Freerk, who also went to ministry school in Pensacola. Last night we saw Jason Upton which was a TOTAL blessing as the LORD refreshed us all with His sweet Spirit - hallelujah! Afterwards, I briefly chatted with Jason, his wife, and with Micah, the flute player, thanking them and saying, "Please come to Berlin! We are praying for the LORD to open the door for you to come one day." Then after most everyone had left, the Holy Spirit slammed a few of us with His joy as we prayed for a couple of people - HAHAHAHAA! It was a great finish to a full day on our journey with Jesus. DANKE PAPA!

A different kind of "Coffee Shop" in Holland!
Today we are leaving our friends in beautiful Leeuwarden to visit more in Amsterdam. Although an interesting city in many ways, it is SO very dark spiritually and they need Jesus big time! I have been there a few times - the red light district is so demonic as girls stand in store front windows luring their customers. Plus as you may know in Holland, it is legal to buy and sell drugs, so they have "coffee shops" where people buy & smoke marijuana. OPEN THEIR EYES TO SEE, LORD JESUS, THAT ONLY YOU BRING TRUE FREEDOM!

Raymond with Cathy & Dan; FIRE missionaries in Holland: David, Jessi, Ethan, & baby Noah Puleo AND Simon and Aletha Arkley
Today, we had a great visit with our friends the Puelos and the Arkleys, FIRE missionaries to Holland. While they had a FIRE team business meeting, Daniel and I took a walk and we ended up sharing the Gospel with Raymond, a Chinese man who works at a local snack shop. When we asked if he wanted Jesus to wash away his sin, he said yes, so Raymond prayed with us to received Jesus as his Lord and Savior - Amen! Our FIRE friends know him and are going to invite him to their house church - HALLELUJAH!

De Oldehove is the name of an artificial mound on which in the late 9th century a church dedicated to Saint Vitus was built. Construction of the adjoining Gothic tower began in 1529, after the citizens of Leeuwarden demanded a tower taller than the one in the city of Groningen. During construction, the tower began to sag, which the builders tried to compensate for by inserting several "kinks", but the project was stopped around 1532. In 1595 the then derelict church was demolished, but the tower still stands with a clock and two bells. Today, this leaning building is now a tourist attraction and to me is a picture of what man's wisdom and pride produce. The Bible says the foolishness of God is wiser than the wisdom of man. May the people of this city and of Europe come realize that they were created for an eternal purpose and that their heavenly Father desires an intimate relationship with them through His Son Jesus. AMEN!

After a wonderful visit with Woldy's family in Minden and seeing some of our FIRE missionary friends, we drove with Steve and Francine to the Netherlands where we are currently staying in Leeuwarden. We woke to warm sunshine and enjoyed sitting on the terrace - danke Jesus! Last night as we walked around town, we noticed a small international church service and while standing near the building, a few young guys walked by and we asked them if they knew anything about this. One guy told us what it was as we chatted, I asked if they knew Jesus. As we shared the Gospel in a lively conversation, they listened and asked questions. One of them didn't say a thing but listened intently with his head bowed - the Holy Spirit was speaking to him, I believe. We parted and they said they would think about what we told them - SAVE THEM ALL, LORD JESUS!!!
