THE TRUTH ABOUT THE RAPTURE
Jesus said, For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened. (Matthew 24:21-22; also Mark 13:19-20).
Will Christians be caught up at a silent and invisible coming of the Lord before the Great Tribulation, as taught in movies as Left Behind?
Or will Christians be caught up at the deafening "glorious appearing" of the Great God and Saviour Jesus Christ at the end of the world? (Titus 2:13)
Right in between 1 Thessalonians 4:15 and verse 17, Paul wrote,"For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first." (1 Thessalonians 4:16)
Movies/books such as 'Left Behind' portray this as a silent and secret event, yet doesn't it rather sound noisy and loud? There is a shout, a voice, and a trumpet.
And not only will the elect be here during the great tribulation, but the rapture of the church will happen AFTER and not before when the LORD Jesus Christ returns.
There is no pre-tribulation rapture.
Nor is there a mid-tribulation rapture.
There is ONE EVENT, the BLESSED HOPE, the SECOND COMING of CHRIST.
Jesus said, Immediately after the tribulation of those days shall the sun be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light, and the stars shall fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens shall be shaken: And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:29-31; also Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-28)
He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus. Revelation 22:20

Amen, sister, you are totally and Biblically correct! It is amazing how many believers still believe in and promote the 19th century insanity called the pretrib rapture. "Pretrib Rapture Diehards" - which I read on Google - reveals how that rapture view began in Scotland in 1830 and how it later spread to America. Even John Darby in the 1830s called it a brand-new view. So did many others. But of course the Holy Spirit was speaking to believers before then, wasn't he? And before 1830 He wasn't teaching them pretrib rapture. Thanks for your blog. Bruce
