Believe Not Every Spirit

Today a friend sent me a link to a 15 second clip of what they say is an angel of God dancing around a fire.

There was a time when I would readily accept this but not any more.

So this was my email reply back:

Good to hear from you, my friend. I looked at the video clip. Interesting!

However, how can we be sure it is an angel from God and not an angel from Satan?

Jesus tells us to let no man deceive us. Satan is out to kill, steal, and destroy. He's the father of lies and author of confusion. His time is short so we should not be surprised that he may try to trick us or deceive us. There is a lot of deception out there and it will increase, so we need to have the mind of Christ as we walk in faith and not fear. Our offensive weapon is the Sword of the Spirit, the Word of God, so please read a few verses that are below.

I share this in love.

Matthew 24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect."

1 John 4: "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."

2 Corinthians 11 "Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light."

Matthew 12 "But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas"

Matthew 16 "A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."
