Can we trust Dutch Sheets?

Yesterday, Dutch Sheets wrote a lengthly 'Statement and Appeal Regarding Lakeland' with the purpose being to ' identificationally repent on behalf of the leadership of the charismatic body of Christ' with reference to Nehemiah 1:4-7 & Daniel 9:1-19.

However, is Dutch Sheets one to be trusted?

From Slaughter of the Sheep:

"In the video below, listen as Dutch Sheets tells of a vision he says he has where Jesus brings him a birthday cake, and tells him just to party and enjoy Him. Afterwards, Rick Pino leads the congregation in a song called, 'Mess Us Up in Your Presence, Oh God.' When the music starts, watch the influence it has on the people who are present. These men are clouds without water. There is no truth found in their doctrine. Not once in this video do you hear Sheets teach or quote God’s Word, it’s all extra-biblical nonsense. Instead of asking for God to mess us up, why don’t we ask Him to lead us into all truth? Why don’t we ask Him to help us grow in the grace and the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ. If we do that, it pleases Him. This spectacle in the below video is completely shameful."

oh that song is so beautiful. There's nothing better than God shaking me out of my comfort zone to respond to His calling and all that His Word has to offer. Him "messing me up" only means getting me to want to know Him more in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. It's the same meaning, just different words used. Do not be afraid and quick to assume that it is wrong just because it's not the terminology that you have always used yourself. The whole Bible has been translated throughout history using different words in regard to the current generation and how words are perceived. What was originally written even in tHe King James Bible may not have the same terminology that is being used today for the same meaning. That isn't how we receive the Word of God. We receive it through how we understand it and that is only through the Holy Spirit that we can even do that. For instance, "you better check yourself before you wreck yourself" is that a verse in the Bible? No. But it certainly is something we oughtta do. The wording is just more slang and hits different people in a different way. It has the same meaning to some as to repent before disaster strikes you.. Catch my drift? Sweet!

And what about the story of David when he came carrying the Ark of the Lord back into the City of David in 2 Samual 6 and verse 14 which says "Then David danced before the LORD with all his might" - It looks to me that these people are 'Dancing with all their might!'

2 Samual 6:16 "Now as the ark of the LORD came into the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart."

Tell me, would God have taken more notice and concern about Michal who despised David for his 'Messy look' or David who was not ashamed to express his freedom and joy in the Lord, bring praise to God?

1 Corinthians 4:4-5 "For I know of nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He who judges me is the Lord. Therefore judge nothing before the time, until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each one’s praise will come from God."

In other words we should be blathering idiots and not attempt to actually understand God's word. Let's just get on the floor and bark like dogs or let's fall down on the floor and act like it wasn't voluntary but that we were 'overpowered'. Let's just make up some stuff and call it 'revelation'.

How stupid. You people have lots your freakin' minds. Christians are called to actually study. You hear that STUDY God's word in order to discern false prophets like Dutch Sheets so you won't be ashamed when God asks why you acted like an idiot.

to the last comment: be careful how you judge others. how do you know that these people are not in the word? do you judge by what you see and not by the heart?

dear defenders of the fallen faux (dff club),

part of me wants to just write how ’saintly’ you are for defending such a counterfeit. but i will not go there. i will relate that this entire thing(brownsvile/lakeland/ kimklement/dutch sheets stuff) happened (s) because the majority of luke warm christians have no clue what or who or how the Holy Ghost is really supposed to be in their lives. end of story.

so please dff club, find the person in your life that knew without a doubt that what was going on was counterfeit, and told you so and get with them, and repent with them for being able to be fooled so far and ask them to pray with you and resist the lies of the enemy about the holy spirit. that he is this and that or this and that, or the anointing is this or that. cause when you are saved you are baptized and given the gifts he has for you upon conversion. the Holy Ghost is the anointing, there is no need to wait for it or sing for it for hours. 1Jo 2:27 But the anointing which ye have received of him abides in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.

the devil wants to be worshiped. so he takes truths of God and mucks them up a bit, and creates a counterfeit (with the help of church folk). the reason counterfeits are a threat is because they are almost exactly a perfect copy of the original. much of modern worship today has no relation to God in the spirit. however it feels good to the carnal christian and good things come from God, therefore it must be from God. please realize that worship in the flesh of God is still carnality (as shown in the video) and can not be accepted by God for anything, except exercise.

regards
eric

what you have to understand is that in the prophetic realm you must follow certain basic guidlines and that is that God wants us to opperate on the principles found in his holy word the bible and that means every word. and by the spoken word witch comes from his heart and heard through having ears to hear his holy spirit so what is going on with ricks "mess us up" lyrics and dutch's dream is a "deep calls out to deep" (psalms 42-7) situation and takes just bleiving God at his word and since they claim they have herd from the holy spirit or God or whatever and the fruit is evident they dont have to answer to you nor no one.Jesus said "wisdom is justified by her children".(matthew 11:19)
