What, Me Worry?

Sonoma sunset a few days ago

I love this tree. It is located across the street in a big open field and I hope they never cut it down. (more pics of this tree)

Have you noticed that often the Lord speaks to us through nature?

When I see and hear birds in the trees, I think of Matthew 6 where the Lord tells us, "Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?"

This passage has come alive to me over the years as I have seen God continously provide in every situation.

As a single mother of two small children, there were days of no money nor food, but we'd find a bag of groceries on the porch or a unexpected check in the mail.

Once a Christian realtor helped me buy a condo with only $10 down.

And when deep in debt, my atheist aunt left me a surprising inheritance which paid it all off and helped me to finish Bible school, then become a missionary.

These are a FEW of the many amazing ways God had taken care of me.

So today, I am very thankful and have no reason to worry about the future because the Lord Jesus Christ is not only my Savior, my Redeemer and my Creator - He is also my Provider.

"But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19

i Could relate to the many wondrous working of God in Difficult time.
When i was young things were tough with my family.Receiving food in the nick of time was a regular occurrence after much prayer. Indeed these scenarios build tremendous faith.
Amen thanks for the reminder.
