The Temple of the Living God

The Zionists want to re-build Solomon's temple in Jerusalem, so they say, and many deceived (or deceiving) Christians are supporting this effort as I did at one point.

But our body... the body of Christ, is where God dwells; not in a building made by the arm of flesh.

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?"
1 Corinthians 6:19

"Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are."
1 Corinthians 3:16,17

John 2:21 also says about Jesus, "But he spake of the temple of his body."

One definition from Strong's is, "metaph. the spiritual temple consisting of the saints of all ages joined together by and in Christ"

And 2 Corinthians 6:16 says, "And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in [them]; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people."

And in the the heavenly Jerusalem, the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple. Revelation 21 speaks of the new heaven, new earth, heavenly city of Jerusalem, the bride, the Lamb's wife and in verse 22 John writes, "And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it."

The LORD thy God in the midst of thee [is] mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.
Zephania 3:17
