SAVE THE LEBANESE CIVILIANS PETITION
To The Concerned Citizen of The World:

"Killing innocent civilians is NOT an act of self-defense. Destroying a sovereign nation is NOT a measured response."

Lebanese civilians have been under the constant attack of the state of Israel for several days. The State of Israel, in disregard to international law and the Geneva Convention, is launching a maritime and air siege targeting the entire population of the country. Innocent civilians are being collectively punished in Lebanon by the state of Israel in deliberate acts of terrorism as described in Article 33 of the Geneva Convention.

The Lebanese people feel left out by the world that is turning a blind eye on the savagery of the Israeli state. Israel does not seem to be capable of approaching any problem outside the realm of the military power bestowed on it by the government of the United States of America and other western governments.

We are writing you this letter in the hope that this massacre is immediately stopped. It is the universal duty of each individual to defend the innocents and expose the truth. The numerous civilian victims of the Israeli operations are increasing by the hour. The viciousness of the attacks has attained terrifying levels where a child has been cut in three while another was half burned.

The Israeli war machine, in its blind savagery, is destroying not only our lives but the foundations that could help the civilians survive beyond their massacre. The Israeli Defense Forces are destroying in few hours what Lebanon has spent years and billions of dollars to rebuild.

Up until now more than 600 Lebanese civilians have been killed and thousands missing under the rubbles , thousands wounded, bridges and infrastructure destroyed, refugees are leaving Beirut in droves and worst of all the enforced siege might lead to a human catastrophe in the next few days. There must be an end to this cycle of violence and continuous violation of international laws and basic ethical behavior.

Between the blindness of the international community and the deafness of the Arab one, the besieged Lebanese population has no way out. (warning: painful, graphic pictures)

Airstrikes continue Truce call rejected by Israel July 29, 2006
The latest victims were 12 civilians, including children, killed in separate air raids on southern Lebanon on Saturday, taking the toll of the dead to 451 — most of them civilians, according to an AFP count. UN humanitarian coordinator Jan Egeland had appealed for a truce to allow casualties to be removed and food and medicine to be sent into the war zone, saying one third of the casualties in the conflict were children. But Israeli foreign ministry official Gideon Meir said: “We cannot accept a ceasefire with Hezbollah because this terrorist organisation would exploit it to gather civilians to use them as a human shield in the combat zone.”...Two Indian soldiers with the UN peacekeeping force in southern Lebanon were wounded and their observation post damaged by an Israeli air strike on Saturday, a UN spokesman said. Milos Strugar, spokesman for the UNIFL force, said the two had been evacuated to hospital. He said the observation post inside their position had been damaged.

Ceasefire calls grow after Israel raid kills 51 Lebanese July 30, 2006
A Red Cross paramedic sits next to a body of a small child in a hopital after an Israeli air strike on the village of Qana, east of the southern port city of Tyre, on Sunday 30 July 2006, killing more than 50 people, mostly children, and wounding several others, witnesses and rescue workers said. They said several houses in the village of Qana collapsed and that a three-storey building where about 100 civilians were sheltering was partially destroyed. Sunday's death toll in the bombing at Qana was the highest in any single incident since the fighting between Israel and Hezbollah guerrillas began on July 12. 'Fifty-one Lebanese civilians were killed, among them 27 children, also we have 17 wounded,' a hospital source in Tyre said.

MATTHEW 2:18
"In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not."

MATTHEW 19:13-15
"Then were there brought unto him little children, that he should put his hands on them, and pray: and the disciples rebuked them. But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven. And he laid his hands on them, and departed thence."
