WHO ARE THE TERRORISTS? AMERICA, LOOK IN THE MIRROR!
How many more innocent people must die at the hands of the fascist US government?

Jesus said "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God." The purpose of war is to make money for the greedy by killing and stealing, something satan is known for. "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly." (from John 10)

It is horrible what our military is doing across the globe! When will it stop? Will it stop? What can I, one person, do to help? This morning I woke up thinking these thoughts, praying to Jesus and crying.

For direction and comfort, I turn to the Bible and read, "Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple. For your obedience is come abroad unto all men. I am glad therefore on your behalf: but yet I would have you wise unto that which is good, and simple concerning evil. And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen." (from Romans 16)

Lord Jesus, please forgive me of my sin. Change me and make me more like you. Make me a blessing today and open doors for me to help others. Thank You, Lord, for Your loving kindness, for your forgiveness, for your mercy. Open my eyes and the eyes of others to Your Truth. May souls be saved I prayed as we look for your return. May we redeem the time doing your will and obeying your word. Thank You, Lord God. Amen.

I think their is partial truth in what you are saying. However, you need to remember the difference between a peace-maker and a peace-keeper. In my hometown I value the police who are peace makers. If there is a violent criminal on the loose they use force to get them off the streets. I am thankful for that! Peace keepers on the other hand want peace at any cost, even their own freedom. They believe by sitting down with criminals and understanding them we can have peace. Would you try and bargain or deal with a rapist? A child molester? A murderer? A stalker? No! You would look for someone with greater authority to handle the problem and bring justice to keep everyone safe. You quoted Romans 16 but don't forget Romans 13. The first few verses tell us...

1Everyone must submit himself to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. 2Consequently, he who rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. 3For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and he will commend you. 4For he is God's servant to do you good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword for nothing. He is God's servant, an agent of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.

Do some people profit from war? Of course. But that doesn't mean it shouldn't happen. Federal, state and local government all make money trying to enforce peace. I believe it's unfair to blame the military for trying to deal with wicked people. If you do that then you have to blame your local police for the same thing.

Remember that the freedoms we enjoy today came because people before believed in being peace makers not peace keepers.

Thanks for stopping by and for your comment!

One big problem we have is that the mainstream news media is controlled by the same folks who are making a profit from war. Result - we the public are not getting the truth.

In the past, investigative reporters often broke stories of corruption but we don't see that anymore as editors toss them out.

So many of our leaders are compromised/controlled by money & power. We know that the love of money is the root of all evil.

My heart breaks for our military men and women who are sacrificing their lives not only on the battle field but also when they return.

Have you read about the effects of depleated uranium and other poisons/vaccines they are subjected to? Google depleted uranium for a major shock!

Have you read/listened to 1st Lt. Ehren Watada? The reason he refused to return to the military was that he discovered that the Iraq war was illegal. Google his name in youtube.com and listen to his speech.

Read what "Iraq Veterans Against the War" are saying.

I support the troops but I want them to come home.

Jesus told Peter, "Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword."

May the Lord Jesus open the blind eyes to the truth and may souls be saved in the process.

Watching, praying, & obeying,

Cathy

The problem is the Scriptures you're quoting from are directed to the church not to the government. What about Romans 13? When Jesus was speaking to Peter he was referencing a Kingdom of God principle. Another question would be how is this war illegal? Who decides that? The US Congress voted unanimously to go ahead with the war. Since then the US Congress has unanimously supported increased funds to support the war. The UN for years has put sanctions on Iraq because of consistantly breaking various Resolutions. Here is a question...Which government is evil? The one that fights to stop terrorism or the one that harbors and gives sanctity to terrorists? Do you honestly believe that President Bush and the US Government is as evil as the dictatorship of Saddam Hussein who murdered hundreds of thousands of his own innocent people? If so you need to go back and read the OT where God used nations to wipe out evil nations. If you are a christian, as you are claiming your concern should also be for the nation of Israel, God's chosen people. Iraq, Iran and other Middle East countries would like nothing more than to wipe Israel off the map. Do you really want to side with those who oppose Israel?

Yes, let's talk about Romans 13.

Besides "being subject unto higher powers" which I am not disputing at all, Paul also says "Thou shalt not kill" and "Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law."

How many innocent civilians have we killed with our guns and bombs in Iraq? Whatever the number they tell us (you - I've stopped watching tv) on the 6 o'clock news, I'm sure it is A LOT more.

Before I "woke up" a few years ago to all the deception going on (still peeling that endless onion which makes me weep more than I'd like to say), I totally supported the present day Israel. My first trip overseas was to Israel. Ten years later I returned to visit again.

Now I'm not sure what to think since I see that Israel, like the USA, was set up by Freemasons with a secret agenda leading us to the new world order.

And like the USA which seems to enjoy killing the innocent (not only the unborn), did you see/read what the Israeli armies did to the innocent in Lebanon? HORRIFIC!

Sorry - I can't support armies that kill innocent people rather than protect them.

And I don't think Jesus condones any of our killing. Remember, he was killed to give us life, he shed his blood to wash away our sin, he died a painful death so we could have abundant and eternal life.

Jesus says, "Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it."

In the same chapter of Matthew 7, he also says, "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."

I do believe in "once saved, always saved" but I believe the Bible teaches that a person can loose their salvation.

Jesus Christ rose from the dead on the third day and is coming back. Are you ready? I hope so.

ROMANS 13

1Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.

2Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.

3For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to the evil. Wilt thou then not be afraid of the power? do that which is good, and thou shalt have praise of the same:

4For he is the minister of God to thee for good. But if thou do that which is evil, be afraid; for he beareth not the sword in vain: for he is the minister of God, a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil.

5Wherefore ye must needs be subject, not only for wrath, but also for conscience sake.

6For for this cause pay ye tribute also: for they are God's ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

7Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

8Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law.

9For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

10Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

11And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.

12The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.

13Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantonness, not in strife and envying.

14But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
