Christ's Mass

Christ's Mass is the long way to say Christmas.

Mass is the Roman Catholic celebration of the Eucharist when Catholics eat small pieces of bread known as the Host and drink wine while believing that the bread and wine are literally the body and blood of Jesus.

Growing up, my family always had a Christmas tree and after I became a Christian, I continued the tradition as I didn't think it was a problem.

But more recently, I have come to realize the error of my ways (read the articles listed below) and even though to most, Christmas is a reminder of the birth of Jesus Christ, the real meaning is quite troubling.

The Lord Jesus Christ died once to wash away our sin and three days later He rose from dead - this is the Good News. But in the mass celebrating His birth, the Roman Catholics claim to call Jesus down from His heavenly glory and crucify Him again, the same as on Calvary. This means they celebrate His birth by killing Him over and over again. Shall we who know the Christ of the Bible say "Merry Christ-Mass" or merry crucifixion of Christ again and again and again and again with those who do not love the Savior?

I for one can not because I love the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible more than the traditions of men.

SCRIPTURE
In Matthew 10 Jesus says:
34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.
37 He that loveth father or mother more than me is not worthy of me: and he that loveth son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me.
38 And he that taketh not his cross, and followeth after me, is not worthy of me.
39 He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.
40 He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me.

Catholics DO NOT re sacrifice Christ at Mass.
Sadly you are very misinformed. Catholics (Orthodox, & coptic Christians too) ALL these historic Christians celebrate the SAME liturgy
of the Mass. It is a commemoration of the Last Supper where the Lord tells us "take & Eat for this is my Body, take & drink for this is the cup of my blood that will be shed for you, DO THIS IN REMEMBRANCE OF ME" Catholics, Orthodox & Copts are merely being
respectful to the command of the Lord !
Please refrain from bearing false witness to Catholic, Orthodox & Coptic worship, remember you will stand before God one day & be required to explain yourself!
