A PLACE OF REST
In our busy lives, we all need times of refreshing. David was first a shepherd, then a warrior, and finally a king, but always he was a man after God's own heart. In Psalm 27, David wrote, "One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek, inquire for, and insistently require: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord, in His presence, all the days of my life, to behold and gaze upon the beauty, the sweet attractiveness and the delightful loveliness, of the Lord and to meditate, consider, and inquire in His temple." Being in the presence of the Lord, beholding His beauty, and nuturing a relationship with Him is a place of rest.

In unseren geschäftigen Leben brauchen wir alle Zeiten des Erfrischens. David war zuerst ein Hirte, dann ein Krieger und schließlich ein König, aber immer war er ein Mann nach Gottes Herzen. In Psalm 27 schrieb David: "Eines habe ich vom HERRN erbeten, das will ich suchen, erforschen und danach trachte ich: zu wohnen im Haus des HERRN, in Seiner Gegenwart, alle Tage meines Lebens, um anzuschauen die Schönheit, die süße Attraktivität, und die wunderbare Anmut des HERRN und nachzudenken und nachzuforschen in seinem Tempel." In der Gegenwart des Herrn zu sein, Seine Schönheit anzuschauen und eine Beziehung mit Ihm zu nähren ist ein Ruheort.
